The Diocese of Lovech ( Bulgarian Ловчанска епархия ) is an eparchy ( diocese ) of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church based in Lovetsch . The Lovetsch diocese is now divided into 5 Okolii : Lovech, Pirdop , Botevgrad , Teteven and Trojan . There are around 150 places of worship and 12 monasteries in the diocese.

Metropolitans

Until 1937 there were only provisional leaders, one exception being Metropolitan Maxim Branitski (1924–1934).
