Dia: Beacon , (also called Riggio Galleries , National Biscuit Company Carton Making and Printing Plant , The Biscuit , Nabisco Carton Making and Printing Plant or Dia Center for the Arts announced), is an art museum on the Hudson River in Beacon in the US state of New York . The works of contemporary art shown there by the Dia Art Foundation , alongside changing exhibitions, include sculptures by Richard Serra , installations by Joseph Beuys and Dan Flavin, and paintings by Andy Warhol .

The museum is housed in an approximately 27,000 m² former factory building, which was built in 1929 by the National Biscuit Company and was donated to the Dia Art Foundation in 1999 by the last owner International Paper . As a representative of the industrial architecture of the early 20th century it was in the National Register of Historic Places (the National Register of Historic Places added). After completion of the renovation and conversion work inside the building, the Dia: Beacon Museum was able to open in May 2003, about two years later than originally planned. In recognition of the financial support from the investor couple Louise and Leonard Riggio, it is nicknamed Riggio Galleries .

The operators of the museum, about 90 km north of New York City , which can also be reached by train, originally expected 50,000 to 100,000 visitors per year, but were able to book 100,000 in the first half of the year. By May 2007, Dia: Beacon said it had sold 350,000 tickets.
