Diane Matheson

Diane Elaine Matheson married Diane Clement (born September 27, 1936 in Moncton ) is a former Canadian sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , she was eliminated over 100 m , 200 m and in the 4-by-100-meter relay in the preliminary run.

In 1958, she won bronze at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff with the Canadian 4-by-110-yard relay.

Twice she was Canadian champion over 200 m or 220 yards (1956, 1957) and once over 100 yards (1957).

In 1962, she belonged with her husband Doug Clement of the founders of kayaks Track & Field Club in Richmond . She later served as President of the Canadian Athletics Federation and was involved in organizing the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In 1985 she was one of the co-founders of the Vancouver Sun Run . She was also successful as a television cook .
