Diane Nukuri , married Nukuri-Johnson (born December 1, 1984 in Bujumbura or Umurundi , Burundi) is a Burundian athlete .

The 1.86 meter tall, by other sources 1.83 meter tall, University of Iowa communications science student , who weighed 59 kg in competition in 2012, is married to Alex Johnson and is coached by Layne Anderson . Nukuri took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . In the 5000 meter run there, she achieved a time of 16: 38.30 minutes. So she missed the Olympic final as 14th of the preliminary run. She was again in the six-man squad for the Burundian team for the 2012 Summer Olympics and acted as the flag bearer at the opening ceremony . In London she started on the marathon route and finished 31st with a personal best of 2: 30.13 hours. In 2013, she improved her time to 2: 29.54 hours in the Boston Marathon , finishing eighth.
