Dianthus sphacioticus is a species from the genus of carnations ( Dianthus ) in the carnation family (Caryophyllaceae).

Dianthus sphacioticus is a loosely grassy, perennial subshrub that reaches heights of 2 to 10 (rarely up to 15) centimeters. The stem is single-flowered and ascending. On non-flowering shoots, the leaves are 3 to 6 millimeters long, oblong and wider than on flowering shoots. The stem leaves are less long than the internodes . The six outer sepals are elongated. The calyx is 14 to 18 millimeters long and tapers from below the center to the tip. The petal plate is obovate, about three millimeters long, glabrous, pink and almost entire.
The flowering period extends from July to September.
Occurrence
Dianthus sphacioticus is endemic to Crete in the prefecture of Chania . The species grows there in the Lefka Ori on scree slopes and rocks at altitudes of 1700 to 2400 meters.
