[Die!] Was founded in 1995 by Oliver Jung and Kai Engel. Shortly afterwards, Georg Platen and Patric Busch joined the band . In 1996 Kai Engel retired and left the band. In the same year the bassist Arthur Pucilowski was found. With him, the group brought out the debut album End with Funny in 1998 , the only album with Pucilowski - he left the band in September 2001. Matthias Fieberg joined the band at the end of September 2001 and completed the quartet.

In September 2002 [die!] Signed a contract with ZAP PRODUCTION for three songs. From here the professional work with the producer Christian Dzida began. The result was the CD sampler DER GREIF - the music version , inspired by Wolfgang Hohlbein's fantasy novel Der Greif . Among other things, songs by Ayman , Glashaus and Megaherz are on the album, [die!] Contributed two pieces.

In August 2004 [die!] Signed with the Gummersbach record company Black Bards Entertainment . In January 2005, the first joint project, Manche bleed forever , was published for the 10th anniversary of the band. In the same year the band went on a three-week tour of Germany as support for Megaherz .

In 2006 the group released the new album Stigmata , in which the former singer of the band Megaherz, Mathias Elsholz, participated. In 2007 Oliver Jung left the band and was replaced by Mathias Elsholz.

On October 23, 2009 the band released the album Still , which is the first album with Mathias Elsholz on vocals.

Since 2010 the group has been back in the studio to record a new album. In May 2012 singers Mathias Elsholz, Patrick Fischer and Patric Busch announced their departure from the band, shortly afterwards Mathias Fieberg. Patric Busch commented on this in an interview and gave "personal differences" as the motivation. At the moment there is talk of a breakup of the band, what will happen to the unreleased album remains unclear for the time being.
