The four apostles (later the Apostle ) was a Hessian Ballermann - pop band around the Wiesbaden frontman Joachim Guenther, who is also the band has composed. The name refers to the biblical apostles who were sent by Jesus to preach his message . Their debut single Zieh dich aus kleine Maus remained the most commercially successful title in the band's history; In the spring of 1999 it entered the German charts at number 65 and climbed to number 49. According to its own information, it sold a total of 1.5 million records and is still compiled on relevant samplers of the genre. As a result, the group appeared several times on television (e.g. ZDF TV garden ) or at events such as the Hessentag in Weilburg . For further publications, the band shortened their name to The Apostles . Also known is the single Esmeralda ring my bells . From autumn 2007 on, Joachim Günther performed solo as a JOA until he ended his stage career in the spring of 2016, stating health reasons.
