The Buffalo Ranch is a German documentary soap produced by the television production company Doclights and broadcast on ZDFinfo and on ZDF from 2012 to 2016 . The 45-minute episodes show everyday life on farms where water buffalos are kept.
season 1
The first five episodes full season was on the organic farm Eilte families Helberg and Bullmann, in Lower Saxony Eilte rotated. Around 40 water buffalo are kept there, and their milk is used to make cheese , mainly mozzarella . Vegetables are also grown on the farm.
The first three episodes were broadcast for the first time on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2012 on ZDFinfo , the last two episodes on June 23 and 30, 2013 on ZDF .
