The flakes
Die Flöckchen is a singing duo from Bergisch Gladbach . It consists of Uwe Kraus and Markus Kierdorf and became known for mood and carnival songs such as Zwei Dicke Freunde , Häppy Party and Schätzje schenk m'r e Foto .
history
Die Flöckchen was founded in 1994 in Bergisch Gladbach. Kierdorf and Kraus knew each other through their joint commitment to the football club. Kraus has 16 years of experience as a trumpeter and was a singer in the Herkenrath show and fanfare corps. With the support of Gerd Rück , the duo made it onto the Cologne stages at Kajuja Cologne in 1997. This was followed by appearances in Gürzenich , Sartory , Flora and Kölnarena (today: Lanxess Arena). From 2007 to 2013 the group was supported by keyboardist Stefan Linden.
In addition to numerous stage appearances at home and abroad, including in Tunisia , Ibiza and Mallorca , the group re-recorded the Bergische Heimatlied for WDR together with Ne Bergische Jung ( Willibert Pauels ) and the Büttenredner Doof Noß ( Hans Hachenberg ). The song Schätzje, schenk m're Foto was voted the second best title by the listeners of Radio Cologne in the 2010/2011 carnival session . The video for the song was filmed live at a KG Lindlar meeting. The group is under contract with the Cologne-based label Dabbelju Music.
Benefit concerts
In addition to their regular appearances, the flakes are also known for their social commitment. Through many voluntary appearances, the group has already been able to raise tens of thousands of euros for good causes (including Bethanien Children's Villages and child and youth work in Bergisch Gladbach). In recognition of this commitment, the flakes were awarded, among other things, the Silver Badge of Honor of the City of Bergisch Gladbach and the Golden Heart of the City of Siegburg.
