The Fleisch EP is the only official release of the Berlin punk band Soilent Grün . Shortly after the release, the band officially broke up on May 1, 1982 , and Bela B. and Farin Urlaub founded Die Ärzte .

Style and reception

The four musicians mix punk with tango influences on this EP , which can be heard in the pieces FDJ-Punx and romanticism written by Farin Urlaub . The lyrics, intoned by the singer Roman Stoyloff with the support of the three instrumentalists, deal with actively committed sodomy ( sodomy ), physical violence ( you are dead , romance ) and discrimination ( Erwin ).

Thomas Skubsch, author of the cod - fanzines , wrote about the "Meat EP":

"Dead band, lively music - a lot of tracks for the money and also from Berlin - FDJ-Punx is a pretty good funny piece with an idiotic melody."

- Thomas Skubsch : Cod , No. 2, December 1984
