The woman with the red boots (original title: La femme aux bottes rouges ) is a French mystery thriller by Juan Luis Buñuel .

action

The young writer Françoise is supposed to write her memoirs for the eccentric millionaire Perrot. She has to do this work in Perrot's country house. The self-proclaimed art lover actually hates art and forges a perfidious plan. He invites Françoise's friend, the young painter Richard, and also her editor Marc to his property. When Françoise sees through his plans, she engages in a duel with Perrot, which she fights with her psychic abilities.

criticism

“An elegantly staged confusion between reality and fantasy, photographed in exquisite colors, sometimes with a strong inner tension. Juan Buñuel draws on the scriptwriter, two favorite actors (Rey / Deneuve) and also some stylistic devices of his father Luis. "
