The Greens Austria (DGÖ) were a neo-Nazi party in Austria . It was founded by the former NDP functionary Alfred Bayer in 1982 and ran for state and local council elections in Austria.

The Greens of Austria were founded in 1982 by Alfred Bayer in order to use the green movement, which was then booming, for the purposes of the NDP. The otherwise insignificant organization managed to achieve modest success in elections. The DGÖ won several seats in the municipal council elections in Leoben , Kapfenberg and Villach in 1985 and ran for the state elections in Tyrol in 1984 , the state elections in Salzburg in 1984 , the state elections in Upper Austria in 1985 and the state elections in Styria in 1986 . The votes gained by the DGÖ were often at the expense of the parallel candidates Green Alternative and United Greens Austria .

In 1988 the Constitutional Court forbade the DGÖ to stand in the ÖH elections because of neo-Nazism.
