The Eppendorf Cave is a documentary by Oliver Schwabe .
The film tells the story of the Hamburg music pub Onkel Pö , which has attracted musicians from all over the world during its 15-year history and which has been the springboard to success for some. On New Year's Eve 1985/86 the club was closed forever. The film takes up stories by Udo Lindenberg , Olli Dietrich or Otto Waalkes , but of course also does not leave stars like Dexter Gordon , Al Jarreau or U2 unmentioned. The stories and interviews with, for example, Al Jarreau , Inga Rumpf or Paul Pötsch von Trümmer are supplemented by a variety of archive material.
