The card with the head of a lynx was a crime series by ZDF based on an idea by Kai Fischer , whose namealludesto the logo of the “Detective Agency Luchs” on their large-format business cards . It ran from 1963 to 1965 in three seasons with a total of 13 episodes produced by Bertelsmann television production in the Arnold & Richter studios in Munich . The main roles were played by Kai Fischer as a detective and Ursula Herking as her aunt. Wolf Neumeister wrote the scriptsand was directed by Hermann Kugelstadt .
Setting
Kai Fröhlich is a young woman who, together with her aunt Viktoria, known as “Vicky”, runs the “Detective Agency Luchs” in Munich, whose trademark is a lynx head . The slogan of the detective agency, which can also be found on the large-format business cards and the signs on the house and the door, is: "Detective agency Luchs - hear, see, experience everything".
The series takes place in the present. In the early 1960s, the detective profession was a male domain , so a woman could not expect recognition in it. The idea of the series is based on this assumption. The detective agency is therefore run by the imaginary "Mr. Luchs" as the boss and Fröhlich pretends to be only his secretary . She communicates with her alleged supervisor through an intercom when clients are present. Her aunt answers in a lower voice in the next room and also acts as "Mr. Lynx" on the phone. This is the trick that gives the "Detective Agency Luchs" its orders. In the episode The Man with the Silver Mask , the representative of an insurance company for art objects with the words "Leave the theater!" For the first time in the series shows that it is clear to him that there is no such thing as a "Detective Luchs", but Fröhlich die Is a detective. Fröhlich works on her cases in every episode through undercover operations .
