Kai Anne Inge Fischer (born March 18, 1934 in Halle (Saale) , also listed as Kay Fischer ) is a German film actress and author .

Life

Fischer's family was forced to move to Munich in 1945. In Munich she was the only girl to attend Maximiliansgymnasium , where she graduated from high school at the age of 18. In the 1950s, the young Kai Fischer appeared in the Schwabinger Brettl cabaret without any acting training and also worked as a photo model . In 1955 she managed to get started in film, initially in supporting roles in productions such as Oh - these "dear" relatives and company sleeping bag . She played her first major role in 1956 in The Marriage of Dr. med. Danwitz .

Until the mid-1960s she played mostly dodgy and "easy girls" in many films. She often appeared as a gangster bride, criminal bar owner or prostitute , for example in the Edgar Wallace film adaptation of Room 13 and other crime novels of the time. From 1963 to 1965 she played the leading role as the first female private detective on German television in the ZDF series Die Karte mit dem Luchskopf . At times she also shot in Italy , where her erotic charisma was also often used. It was only in the 1970s that she was able to free herself from this image by playing roles in television games and series.

In series like Derrick and Der Kommissar , but also in Die Angst des Tormanns bei Elfmeter (1972) by Wim Wenders , she got more serious roles. She became known to television viewers for her role as Tiger-Lilli in the series Salto Mortale . Until the end of the 1980s, Fischer could still be seen sporadically in film and television productions, for example in Rolf Silber's Kassensturz in 1984 .

She took on theater roles, wrote scripts and also detective novels under a pseudonym. From 1984 Fischer worked as a business woman and opened several photo shops in Munich. Since then, she has rarely been seen in television series, for example in 1985 in the series Alte Gauner , 1986 in Der Fahnder ( Heat Wave ), 1988 in the crime scene Salü Palu and 1990 in love stories .

In 1970 she recorded the LP Kai Fidelity (Metronome MLP 15.359). The twelve songs fall into the “cheeky chansons” category with titles such as Occasionally a man , What did he look like , or High necked .
