action

Ms. Bechtel asks the editor-in-chief of a magazine to help her find her daughter Cilly. The girl is currently on tour with the dance group "Seven Blue Stars". She had received Cilly's last sign of life from Marseilles , but that was two weeks ago. The editor-in-chief then instructs his reporter Heinz Wöhler, who is currently on vacation on the Riviera , to track down the girl. Wöhler succeeds in doing this, but the person he is looking for is already dead. Allegedly, she threw herself into the harbor basin and committed suicide. In the tavern "Zum Schwarzen Hai", however, the rumor circulates that Cilly was murdered.

Sabri, the seedy head of the dance group, lured his girls with promises, but soon took their passports away. Now he's paying her off with pocket money. When Cilly had become suspicious and found out about the dark machinations of her boss, the latter left her cold so that she could not warn her colleagues.

In the meantime, the “Seven Blue Stars”, there are only six left, have arrived in Tangier to serve well-heeled customers in the exclusive “Alhambra”. Heinz Wöhler also appears in this restaurant soon. But because Sabri thinks he is a police spy, he has his confidante Vera shadow him. Wöhler succeeds in establishing contact with one of the dancers. From her he learns that most of the girls have no idea what happened to Cilly and what they were lured to by Sabri.

Wöhler's magazine report caused a stir. As a result, Sabri and his gang want to kill the reporter. You blame him for the murder of a police officer. Now the events precipitate: After his arrest, Wöhler manages to escape, but shortly afterwards he is kidnapped by the crooks on the yacht of Monsieur Alexandre, the boss of the gang of girl traffickers. This in turn appears a little later in the "Alhambra"; but nobody is aware that he is pulling the strings in the background.

Vera is actually an Interpol agent. She makes sure that Sabri is wanted in a wanted list. Because Alexandre doesn't trust the agent, he invites her to a party on his yacht. There it should be made harmless and all traces covered. Vera just manages to make a radio message. With the help of a helicopter and a police cruiser, the gang can finally be arrested.
