Karl Schröder (cameraman)

Karl Schröder (born February 7, 1912 in Schandau , † March 31, 1996 in Siegsdorf ) was a German cameraman .

He trained at the Bavarian Academy for photo nature and was on since the 1930s culture films of the UFA involved. After the Second World War, he initially made several short documentaries .

She with director Rolf Thiele was Schröder's first feature film in 1954. At first he worked for Film Aufbau GmbH in Göttingen , later also for other production companies. In 1964 he shot the Böll adaptation of Doctor Murke's Collected Silence for television. Most recently, Schröder worked exclusively for television.
