The Wandaogo family was once a royal family in Burkina Faso and their protection and good luck charms were the family's crocodiles. "The crocodiles are our great-great-grandfathers, they still live in a small lake near the village of Tenkodogo today ."
The film finds its own way through the family saga. The German director Britta Wandaogo and her husband Salif Wandaogo from Burkina Faso are getting more and more into the “vortex of themselves”. Skipping acts strain their tolerance and family life works on a different frequency. Salif, torn between tradition and the present, is increasingly changing, because one thing is certain, everything will turn out differently than expected when you step on African soil.
