A musical that deals with the Olchis was premiered in 1997 in Halle . From the children's song CD “Today I want to be an Olchi!” (By Erhard Dietl and Sven Faller ), the Olchi song “Toad fart and Pfannenstiel” was number 1 on various children's radio hit parades. The sing-along CD “Die krötsten Olchi-Lieder” (by Erhard Dietl and Bastian Pusch) with a matching music book was released in 2013.

The Olchi family

The Olchis are a three-generation family consisting of grandparents, parents and three children. The olchis are small and green, have three horns on their head and a large nose. The altogether nameless family lives together in a cave on the garbage dump of Schmuddelfing. The Olchis love everything that people find disgusting: they eat shoe soles and screws, drink stinker broth and bicycle oil, bathe in the mud and can't stand order. Fresh, healthy things are poisonous for an olchi, accidental consumption causes a rash with red, yellow and blue spots. The Olchis have a kite called a “fire chair” with which they fly around. Together they experience adventures on their garbage dump and in many countries around the world.
