The seven-part series Die Straße ran from January 21, 1978 to May 20, 1978 on ZDF and is referred to in the opening credits as a "series of games about young people at risk".
action
It tells of young people who have teamed up for the motorcycle gang "Devils". They drive around town on their motorbikes or mopeds and hang out in pubs or on the sidewalk, where they are a thorn in the side of shopkeepers. Nobody wants anything to do with the Devils. Hanno and Katrin, two social workers from the newly opened youth club on Keplerstraße, want to get the "Devils" off the street. They allow the “Devils” to occupy the youth club as their clubhouse. In each of the 45-minute episodes filmed in the east of Munich , the focus is on a young person and their problems. Katrin and Hanno try to help where they can - but at the same time they have to fight for the existence of the youth club and their own jobs.
