Adolf Hitler's Streets in Art was the title of an exhibition commissioned by the General Inspector for German Roads Fritz Todt with the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts in 1936. It was shown in Berlin in the exhibition hall of the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts, the palace Schönhausen and in Munich. It was a sales exhibition; the works shown could be acquired. Todt had the idea of making the construction of the Reichsautobahn popular in art with such an exhibition . The exhibition was accompanied by a catalog and an accompanying book from the Volk und Reich Verlag . The German press reported extensively. The pictures were hung regionally according to the motif; there were also the separate departments “The German Alpine Road ”, “ Reichs - and Landstraßen ” and “The German Road Worker”. A total of 534 works were shown.
