action

The young Frédérique, known as "Fred", works as a nurse in a small town in French-speaking Switzerland . She is dissatisfied and has difficulty expressing her feelings. After her boyfriend leaves her, the formerly quite successful marksman decides to kill herself.

In the forest where she wants to shoot herself, she is disturbed by two arguing boys. When one, Marco, injures the other with a slingshot, Fred shoots him in the knee in anger. She escapes undetected, but has initially said goodbye to her suicide plans.

Back at work in the hospital, she has to take care of the injured Marco, of all people. He doesn't know that Fred was the shooter. 14-year-old Marco also has emotional problems, he is a child of divorce and lets out his aggressiveness on his environment. At first they don't get along, but after Fred realizes that there are parallels between them, they come closer and open up to each other.

Their friendship is put to the test when Marco finds out it was Fred who shot him. But they survived this crisis, and in the end Fred admits what they did to the police.

Reviews

The film service rated the film as worth seeing from 16 :

"The convincing story of a self-discovery and a new beginning in the form of a chamber play that lives from the extraordinary presence of its leading actress and at the same time tells the manageable plot laconically and realistically."
