action
When Bart and Milhouse screw up a lucrative business for comic bookseller Jeff Albertson , they are banned from his shop for life. However, shortly afterwards the special effects specialist Tom Savini , whom the two adore, appears in the store. The two sneak in. During the performance, the comic bookseller suffers a heart attack and the two save his life.
Out of gratitude and because he has no other acquaintances to ask, Albertson leaves the two of them running his shop while he is recovering from rehabilitation. Bart and Milhouse discover a secret room in the shop that contains various black copies and prohibited videos (such as private recordings and unlicensed versions of cinema films and suppressed television recordings). The two put on demonstrations that make them big money. The comic bookseller was looking for new social contacts as part of his rehab and entered into a relationship with retiree Agnes Skinner. When the police learned of the illegal display in the shop, however, the shop was closed and the comic book dealer was arrested.
Trivia
Tafel-Gag : "I am not allowed to hide the teacher's medication."
There are allusions in this episode to She-Hulk , Star Wars and Shaquille O'Neal . In addition, the title of the episode is an allusion to a condescending form of criticism that Jeff Albertson, the comic bookseller, uses. By designating a cultural product as the “worst of its kind” at the same time, extensive knowledge of the genre ( fandom ) and the objective validity of one's own taste are claimed.
The guest star was Tom Savini , who dubbed himself.
