Thief13

Dieb13 (actually: Dieter Kovačič ; * 1973 in Graz ) is an Austrian improvisation musician in the field of turntablism . Other artist names of his are: Takeshi Fumimoto and Echelon .

Since the late 1980s he has been experimenting with players for audio cassettes, records, CDs and hard discs and their sound carriers. He has performed as a duo with Billy Roisz , eRikm , Phil Minton , Martin Siewert and Burkhard Stangl as well as with the groups the klingt.orgestra , Swedish Azz and the John Butcher Group . He collaborates regularly with Mats Gustafsson .

He developed the open source loop player kluppe .
