Diego Figueredo (born April 28, 1982 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan football player who is currently working for Caacupé FBC in the Paraguayan third division.
Club career
Figueredo moved from Olimpia Asunción to Real Valladolid in January 2004 . In the second half of the season he made eight appearances for the Spaniards, but had to relegate the club from the Spanish first division at the end of the season . In the 2004/05 season he played 28 games in the second division for Valladolid and scored three goals.
The following season he was awarded to Boavista Porto , where he was only used sporadically. The following year he was awarded again, this time to Argentina for the first division promoted CD Godoy Cruz . After relegation with Godoy Cruz, Figueredo returned to Valladolid, but only returned from his vacation six days late and was banished from the Valladolid first division squad. At the beginning of 2008 he returned to Club Cerro Porteño in his Paraguayan homeland. A year later he switched to the CD Everton in Chile. There he could not assert himself and only came up with four missions.
Figueredo returned to Olimpia in early 2010. There he became a regular again.
National team
Figueredo was a regular in Paraguay's Olympic squad in 2004. In Athens he won the silver medal with the team after they had to admit defeat Argentina in the final. Figueredo was sent off in the 82nd minute of the final with a yellow-red ball.
At the Copa America 2004 he came to four missions in the Paraguayan national team .
