Diego Hipólito da Silva Lopes or just Diego Lopes (born May 3, 1994 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Diego Lopes started club football in the youth division of Palmeiras São Paulo and was recruited by the youth division of Benfica Lisbon in 2008 . After working here until 2012, he was given a professional contract and loaned out to league rivals Rio Ave FC . After one season he moved to this club including the transfer fee.

For the 2015/16 season Lopes was signed again by Benfica Lisbon. Before the start of the season he was loaned from Benfica to the Turkish first division club Kayserispor together with his teammate Vanderley Dias Marinho .

Three more loans followed, in 2016 to Brazil to América Mineiro and in 2017 to the Greek club Panetolikos and in January 2018 to Rio Ave FC .
