Diego Alonso Penny Valdez (born April 22, 1984 in Lima ) is a Peruvian football player . The goalkeeper is under contract with Sporting Cristal .

Career

Club career

Diego Penny began his career at Coronel Bolognesi FC at the age of 20 . There he was used in 181 games before he moved to Burnley FC in the English Football League Championship in July 2008 for free .

On June 27, 2008 Penny made his debut in a 4-1 defeat by Sheffield Wednesday ., But then came due to an injury to Brian Jensen only once in the league and twice in the cup competition for use.

He then left the club in the summer of 2010 to join Juan Aurich in his home country. Since 2013 he has been playing for Sporting Cristal again. Penny has been working there regularly since he switched.

National team

Penny played his first game for Peru on August 16, 2006 in a 2-0 defeat against Panama . After this game he was used in another five games.
