Diego Ronconi

Diego Ronconi (* 5. August 1964 in Iseo , Italy ) is a German Volleyball - Coach and - functionary .

Career

Diego Ronconi, who trained in sports and mathematics at the TH Darmstadt , started his coaching career at SV Bayer Wuppertal in 1992 as a head coach in the amateur field and at the same time as an assistant coach in the 1st Bundesliga . In June 1995 he took over the 2nd Bundesliga women's team at Ettlinger SV before he turned back to men's volleyball and from June 1997 to July 2006 spent his longest coaching position with the second division club FT 1844 Freiburg . Here the runner-up championship in 2001 was the greatest sporting success. From September 1999 to April 2006 he was a lecturer in volleyball at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . In addition, from July 2007 to April 2018 he was an instructor at the North Baden volleyball association. After a brief engagement with Eintracht Wiesbaden, he reached eighth place in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2007 with TV Bühl . and fourth place in the following season, before Matthias Eichinger took over the post of head coach.

His most successful time was from 2009 to 2015 as head coach at SV Fellbach , whom he led in the 2014/15 season to win the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga volleyball. He has been with SSC Karlsruhe since the summer of 2015 , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd volleyball Bundesliga, but gave up the coaching position for professional reasons in April 2018. In addition to his work as a freelance company developer, he will remain at SSC Karlsruhe as sports director.
