Diensdorf is part of the Grünberg district in the Ottendorf-Okrilla municipality , which is part of the Bautzen district in Saxony . The place on the Grosse Röder was first mentioned in 1350 as "Dybesdorf" or "Divesdorf" and was called "wustes village" 28 years later . In the 15th century the corridor was probably repopulated, and in 1551 seven possessed men and two residents worked the land. Then the place was again desolate in 1604, in 1834 it had only 48 inhabitants. As early as 1864 the village was incorporated into Grünberg. It has belonged to Ottendorf-Okrilla since 1994.
