Ranks of the fire brigade in Brandenburg

The voluntary and full-time fire brigade members are marked in the state of Brandenburg in accordance with the Ordinance on Voluntary Fire Brigade (TVFF) and the decree of the Ministry of the Interior on the wearing of rank badges in fire protection of the state of Brandenburg of February 4, 2011.

Volunteer firefighter

Depending on the level of training and duration of membership in the fire service , a fire service member is awarded a rank. The honorary members of the fire brigades in Brandenburg can have the following ranks:

The ranks of fire inspector, chief fire inspector and main fire inspector have not been awarded since 1997. The rank of state fire chief is only awarded on an honorary basis.

Helmet labeling

The helmet identification serves u. a. as a distinguishing feature of the professional qualification of the fire service member. The function actually performed in the field may differ from this.

Identification vests

When deployed, managers wear a colored vest with additional functional inscription on the chest and back for identification. The vest is worn over the respective combat clothing. The colors are assigned to different functions.
