Ranks of the fire brigade in Saxony

The voluntary and full-time fire brigade members are identified in the Free State of Saxony in accordance with the administrative regulations of the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior on the organization of volunteers and compulsory fire brigades .

Volunteer firefighter

Depending on the level of training and length of membership in the fire service, a volunteer fire service member is awarded a rank.

Helmet labeling

The helmet identification serves only as a distinguishing feature of the professional qualification of the fire service member. The function actually performed in the field may differ from this.

Identification vests

When deployed, managers wear a colored vest with additional functional inscription on the chest and back for identification. The vest is worn over the respective combat clothing. The colors are assigned to different functions.
