State Fire Brigade School (Germany)
The German state fire brigade schools offer a large number of courses and seminars in the field of fire brigade and youth fire brigade . The establishment and maintenance by the federal states is required in the fire protection laws of the federal states .
In addition to training as squad leader (not in all countries), squad leader , platoon leader , association leaders theme-related courses as are TH-VU , GABC , serviceman , paramedics of the fire brigades (not in all countries) offered and seminars on other topics. These are offered to both volunteer and professional fire services. The dispatch takes place at the discretion of the respective fire chief and district fire inspector.
The duration of the seminars is generally a few days, courses (with the exception of the career courses of the professional fire brigades) last one to two weeks. During this period, participants are usually internat like accommodated to the local fire brigades.
The size of the state fire brigade school depends on the size of the respective federal state or the number of fire brigade members to be trained there. It differs between a boarding school capacity of 50 to 300 course participants who can be accommodated and trained at the same time.
