The Dienvidsusēja is a right tributary of the Mēmele in Latvia .
The river has its source in the town of Subate in the Sēlija or Upper Latvia countryside in a swampy area and flows in a westerly direction. At 4.2 km in length, it forms the border between Lithuania and Latvia. At Nereta there is a reservoir with a smaller hydroelectric power station.
The largest tributaries are Zalvīte (36 km), Radžupe (21 km) and Arālīte (21 km).
