Dieter Allhoff

Dieter-W. Allhoff (* 7. April 1943 ) is a German speaking scientists and speakers puller . From 1975 to 2008 he taught at the University of Regensburg .

Life

Allhoff comes from Mülheim an der Ruhr . He holds a degree in German literature , politics, history, philosophy and speech training / speech at the Universities of Tübingen , Heidelberg and Munich . He received his doctorate in 1975, his dissertation is a "rhetorical analysis of the speeches and debates of the first German parliament of 1848/49, especially on the syntactic and semantic level".

From 1975 to 2008 he headed the “Oral Communication and Speech Education ” department at the University of Regensburg, which includes speech education, rhetoric , speech training, speech therapy and the art of speaking. Allhoff headed the test center for speech educators of the German Society for Speech Science and Speech Education (DGSS) in Regensburg. In 1990 he achieved the establishment of a university course to become a speech educator in Regensburg, in 2005 he initiated the Master of Arts course “Speech Communication and Rhetoric” together with Brigitte Teuchert .

Together with his wife Waltraud Allhoff, he also founded a private management institute, the Institute for Rhetoric & Communication (IRK), for which graduates of the Regensburg degree program work in vocational education and training.

From 1975 Dieter Allhoff was a member of the science commission of the German Society for Speech Science and Speech Education (DGSS). From 1989 to 1995 he was 1st chairman, then until 1997 2nd chairman of the DGSS. In 1978, Allhoff was the founder of the DGSS Regional Association of the Professional Association of Speech Pedagogues, Speech Therapists, Speech Artists and Rhetoric Lecturers in Bavaria. V. (BVS Bayern) and its 1st chairman until 2010. From 1983 to 2008 he was editor of the trade journal he founded speak. Journal for Speech Science - Speech Pedagogy - Speech Therapy - Speech Art.
