Dieter Bogner

Dieter Bogner (born September 4, 1942 in Vienna ) is an Austrian art historian and museum manager.

Life

After completing his studies, he worked at the University of Vienna from 1974 to 1984 as a university assistant at the Institute for Art History. Subsequently he worked as a freelance exhibition designer and author.

During the founding phase of the Vienna MuseumsQuartier from 1990 to 1994, he was appointed as one of the two managing directors of the GmbH. Then he founded his own company that works for museums and exhibition projects.

In 2005 Bogner received his habilitation at the Institute for Art History at the University of Vienna .

In July 2016 he was appointed interim commercial director of the Austrian Gallery Belvedere . He is supposed to make important decisions according to the four-eyes principle together with director Agnes Husslein-Arco , who has managed the museum alone since 2007.
