career

Karlsruher SC, 1948 to 1965

Defensive player Dieter Klaußner worked his way up to the contract players team of Karlsruher SC in the Oberliga Süd via the youth and amateur department . As a member of the KSC-Amateurs, he came in the round 1957/58 on May 4, 1958 in Le Mans for an assignment in the German national soccer team of the amateurs . At the side of captain Herbert Schäfer , the Karlsruhe defender could not prevent the 2: 4 defeat against France. Klaussner played his first three games in the Oberliga Süd in the 1958/59 season for Karlsruhe. Two more years in the amateur team followed, before he advanced to regular defender in front of goalkeeper Manfred Paul with 26 appearances under coach Eduard Frühwirth in the 1961/62 season . In the last year of the league, 1962/63, he was involved with his 16 missions in the important fifth place of the KSC for the Bundesliga nomination 1963/64. Defense colleagues were Horst Saida and Gustav Witlatschil in this round in the wildlife park .

Trainer Kurt Sommerlatt nominated Dieter Klaussner for the premier game of the Bundesliga on August 24, 1963 in Karlsruhe against Meidericher SV . The "zebras" from Wedau got the two points with an undisputed 4: 1 success and the KSC defense was almost never able to bring the attackers Helmut Rahn , Werner Krämer and Heinz Versteeg under control. By the end of the 1964/65 round, Klaußner made 14 more appearances in the Bundesliga and moved to the Southwest Regional League for the 1965/66 round , to Phoenix Bellheim .

Phönix Bellheim, 1965 to 1973

In Bellheim , in the district of Germersheim in Rhineland-Palatinate , the defender from Karlsruhe played 93 games with eleven goals for Phoenix in four rounds in the Regionalliga Südwest. In two relegations, 1967 and 1973, and when he rose again in 1970/71 as champion of the 1st Amateur League Southwest , he was in the team of the village club. Klaußner was an athletic team player who was strong in shooting and tackling.

Together with Rolf Kahn , Klaußner went from Karlsruhe to Bellheim in 1965, where two other ex-KSC players, Gerhard Helm and Horst Hotz, had landed on the Phoenix team of coach Lothar Bechtel one round earlier . Klaußner made his debut in a depressing 7-2 home defeat on August 22, 1965 against TuS Neuendorf near Bellheim in the Regionalliga Südwest. At the end of the round, his new club finished 12th and had secured relegation, especially with the 20:10 home points. Due to injury, he had only been able to play 15 league games (2 goals). In his second season he built his record to 23 rounds with five goals, but Bellheim rose as 15th in the Southwest amateur league. In the second year in the 1st amateur league, 1968/69, the runner-up and thus participation in the competition for the German amateur championship succeeded . Klaußner and his teammates prevailed against VfL Bad Oldesloe, but then failed in the quarter-finals at FC Emmendingen. In the fourth attempt, 1970/71, after winning the championship in the promotion round against SpVgg Andernach and SV Fraulautern, they returned to the Regionalliga Südwest. At the beginning of the first half of the season (September 10, 1970) they had measured themselves against SV Alsenborn in the Südwestpokal, but had no chance against the most famous "village club in Germany" in a 5-0 defeat. As a regional returnee, he just managed to stay in the league with 14th place in 1971/72, Klaußner had made his contribution in 27 league games with three goals. In the 1972/73 season, however, he rose with Bellheim as 16th from the regional league. Under coach Erwin Scherm (in office until February 28, 1973) and at the side of teammates like Helmut Behr , Siegfried Merz and Kurt Schuschu , the second-rate regional league southwest for the defense strategist was over.
