Dieter Langer

Dieter Langer (born February 27, 1945 in Prague ; † September 28, 2002 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and property manager. From 1992 to 1996 he was a member of the Austrian Federal Council .

education and profession

Langer first attended elementary school and then completed a federal high school , where he passed the Matura in 1963. He then completed his Matura from 1963 to 1964 and then studied law at the University of Vienna . In 1972 he completed his studies with the academic degree Mag. Iur. from. Langer took over his grandfather's law firm, which was founded in 1934, and from 1969 worked as an independent real estate trustee. He expanded the company in the field of real estate management and in 1972 founded Realfinanz for the brokerage area and later Realproconsulting for the brokerage and project management areas. Langer was finally awarded the professional title of Commercial Councilor.

Politics and functions

Langer began his political career by joining a student association, and in 1964 he also joined the ring of liberal students. He became a member of the FPÖ in 1967 and was involved with the FPÖ Klosterneuburg and later with the WPÖ Vienna. He also became active at the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. In the mid-seventies he also joined the Ring Freedom Economist (RFW), where he acted as regional manager of the RFW Vienna between 1982 and 1992. He was elected to the district council of the Josefstadt district council in 1986 and was a member of the district council until 1991. At the same time he was club chairman of the FPÖ Vienna-Josefstadt from 1986 to 1991. Furthermore, from 1980 he was a committee member of the Vienna State Guild of Real Estate and Asset Trustees and a committee member of the Federal Guild of Real Estate and Asset Trustees. In addition, from 1984 he was a member of the advisory board for statistics on foreign trade. Within the party, he also held the function of a member of the FPÖ state leadership from 1984 and was a member of the regional executive committee of the FPÖ Vienna from 1990.

In 1987, Langer was elected a member of the finance committee of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in the Chamber of Commerce, from 1990 he was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Vienna (Commercial Section) and from 1992 chairman of the Freedom Chamber Councils in Vienna. He was also a member of the Federal Guild Committee from 1992, was also the Deputy Federal Guild Master and was elected Vice President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in 1995.

He represented the FPÖ Vienna from May 4, 1992 to November 28, 1996 in the Federal Council and was, among other things, chairman of the economic committee and secretary in the committee for family and the environment and secretary in the teaching committee from 1996.
