Dieter Miosge

Dieter Miosge (* 1934 in Haldensleben ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Higher Regional Court of Braunschweig (OLG) and at the Higher Regional Court of Naumburg .

Life

In 1964 Miosge joined the Brunswick judicial service. In 1967 he became a judge at the Braunschweig District Court and in 1975 at the Braunschweig Higher Regional Court. In 1990 he worked as chairman of the Special Senate for Criminal Matters at the Magdeburg District Court . Finally, he was presiding judge at the OLG Naumburg from 1992 to 1998 .

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Miosge has been working intensively since the 1980s on coming to terms with the fate of Jewish lawyers during the Nazi era , especially in Braunschweig.

In October 2015, Miosge was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in particular for this contribution to coming to terms with recent German history and his commitment to the establishment of constitutional judicial structures in Saxony-Anhalt from 1990 to 1998 .
