Dieter Pressmar

Dieter B. Pressmar (* 19th April 1936 in Büchenbronn , Göppingen, † 11. December 2018 ) was a German economist and emeritus professor of business administration (BWL), in particular business management data processing at the Institute for Operations Research of the University of Hamburg .

Life

Dieter Preßmar received his doctorate in 1968 from the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg . His dissertation from March 5, 1968 was entitled The cost-performance function of industrial production plants. A theoretical and empirical study of business production and cost theory .

Until his retirement as professor for business administration (BWL), he taught and researched , in particular business data processing, at the Institute for Business Research at the University of Hamburg.

In 2001 Bernd Jahnke and Friederike Wall published a commemorative publication on the occasion of Dieter Preßmar's 65th birthday with the title IT-supported business decision-making processes. Dieter Preßmar on his 65th birthday . Preßmar died in December 2018.
