Dieter Pricel
Dieter Preisl (born August 17, 1962 in Judenburg ; † June 22, 2016 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter and musician .

Preisl studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Max Weiler and Arnulf Rainer . Since 1987 he has worked as a freelance artist and musician. His painterly work is dominated by abstract paintings in all formats, by folded objects and three-dimensional picture objects. In addition, Preisl dealt with photorealistic portraits in acrylic and created a variety of paper works and drawings. In addition to his artistic work, Preisl has been active as a musician and composer since his youth. In 1991 he founded the band Scheffenbichler with Klaus Tschabitzer, Paul Pfaffenbichler and Norbert Trummer , from 1996 he also played as a drummer with the tangoboys , from 2003 with Alias Sandwich Hunter , from 2005 with Stephen R.
