Dieter Rubach

Dieter Rubach (born April 28, 1955 in Solingen ) is a German bass player .

Life

At the age of 17, he joined the band Accept , which later became one of the most successful international hard rock bands. After leaving, he worked for a few years as the bass player for the NDW band Lichtblick, which in 1983 also played at Rockpalast . Meanwhile he formed his own band, Bad Steve, along with other former Accept members, including a. Jan Koemmet .

In 1984 Bad Steve toured for some time as the opening act for Accept and released their debut album Killing The Night , on which almost all of the tracks were composed by Rubach. He also played some guitars himself on the album. In 1987 the band split up and Rubach went to UDO for the "Animal House Tour". During this time they played very often with Guns N 'Roses , Lita Ford and Zodiac Mindwarp .

In the 1990s Rubach often acted as a studio musician, arranger , composer and sound engineer . So he was u. a. Involved in CD releases by Gil Scott-Heron , Rufus Thomas , Anne Haigis and Melo Mafali. He was with Sash! -Founder Ralf Kappmeier also worked in Nino de Angelo's live band for a few years .

In 2004 he recorded a live DVD at SAE Frankfurt with today's Iron Butterfly keyboarder Martin Gerschwitz . He currently works primarily as a session musician and sound engineer. He also plays with Funky Frank, Justin Nova, The Pirates of Love and his own band Joker.
