Jan Koemmet

Jan Koemmet (born August 18, 1961 ) is a German hard rock and heavy metal guitarist and an international designer.

Life

Koemmet played on the album Restless and Wild by the heavy metal group Accept . After leaving, he founded the band Bad Steve with other members of Accept, Frank Friedrich and Dieter Rubach . From 1989 to 1992 Koemmet was the guitarist in the orchestra of the musical Starlight Express in Bochum. He studied design, the history of art, aesthetics and media theory. Koemmet has been the head of an advertising agency since 2000. It has received national and international design awards. Koemmet taught at the universities of Düsseldorf , Kassel and Wuppertal and gave lectures and seminars at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg . In the early summer of 2011, Kommet founded the metal-pop duo Lion Twin together with Liane Vollmer-Sturm . In 2013 they released their debut album "Nashville". The following year the band supported UDO , Axxis and Rage on three European tours. In 2015, Kommet separated from his band. In 2019 his first solo single Loewenstern was released.
