Michael Cartellone

Michael Cartellone (born June 7, 1962 in Solon , Ohio ) is an American drummer and painter .

Life

Cartellone started playing the drums at the age of nine. He made his first public appearance when he was eleven. During his time at the local high school he played in a band. At the age of 22 he moved to New York City, where he worked with keyboardist Eddie Jobson and Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw . In 1989 he became a member of the hard rock band Damn Yankees . In 1996 he was a brief member of Accept . He also played as a studio musician for artists such as John Fogerty , Peter Frampton , John Wetton , Freddie Mercury , Cher and Adrian Belew . After a brief return to the Damn Yankees in 1998, he joined Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1999 . In 2009 he starred on former Faith No More singer Chuck Mosley's release on Will Rap over Hard Rock for Food .
