Wolf Hoffmann (born December 10, 1959 in Mainz ) is a German musician and photographer . He achieved worldwide fame as the guitarist of the heavy metal band Accept .

Hoffmann grew up in Wuppertal , his father was a professor of chemistry and his mother a housewife. He attended an old language grammar school . After graduating from high school , he decided to pursue a career as a musician with the metal band Accept, of which he has been a member since 1976.

In 1997 he released the album Classical with rock versions of classical pieces, which was produced by Michael Wagener in Nashville. He had already expressed his sympathy for classical composers in Accept pieces : for example, he built parts of the Beethoven piece “Für Elise” into his guitar solo entitled “Metal Heart”.

He also appeared on the solo album by Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach Bring 'Em Bach Alive! with and in 2000 on the Japanese Randy Roads tribute album Randy Rhoads Tribute with Sebastian Bach on the song I Don't Know and with Joe Lynn Turner on the song Diary of a Madman . Hoffmann also played with Skew Siskins Peace Breaker .

Hoffmann, a passionate photographer, turned his hobby into a career. He shot the cover photo for the Accept album Objection Overruled . Since Accept's creative break from 1997 to 2009/10, Hoffmann has now worked as a professional photographer. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

Wolf Hoffmann is married to Gaby Hoffmann (née Hauke), Accepts Manager. Gaby Hoffmann has contributed the lyrics to several Accept albums under the pseudonym Deaffy .
