Dieter Schroth
Heinz-Dieter Schroth (born December 28, 1948 ) is a German gentlemen's outfitter and life and business partner of Harald Glööckler .
Life
Schroth played as a goalkeeper for various football clubs as a contract player. From 1968 to 1971 he was a goalkeeper at Wormatia Worms . He then played in the Regionalliga Südwest in the 1971/72 season for VfR Frankenthal , with whom he was relegated as 15th from the Regionalliga.
After his football career, he ran a men's fashion boutique. He met Glööckler at the age of 38 in a Mannheim bar / disco or Stuttgart bar. Schroth was previously married and has two daughters from this divorced marriage, one of whom works in the fashion company.
In 1987, the industrial clerk opened the “Jeans Garden” fashion store together with Glööckler in downtown Stuttgart, where they mainly sold jeans and shirts designed by Glööckler. In 1990 they both founded the fashion label Pompöös .
Schroth was managing director of "Harald Glööckler International GmbH" until January 15, 2020. He lived with Glööckler and their dog "Billy King" in Berlin and appeared in 2012 as an interviewee on television in several documentaries about Glööckler. On February 11, 2015, Schroth and Glööckler entered into a partnership in Berlin . They have been living in Kirchheim an der Weinstrasse since summer 2015 .
