Dietmar Blaas

Dietmar Blaas is a German diplomat and has been an ambassador to Mauritania since 2010 .

career

After graduating from high school , Blaas completed a course of studies and then joined the foreign service . After completing the career test for the higher service, he found various uses in the headquarters of the Foreign Office in Bonn and Berlin as well as at various missions abroad .

In 2007, he succeeded Horst-Wolfram Kerll , who in turn became Ambassador to Tunisia , Ambassador to Paraguay and held this post until he was replaced by the previous Ambassador in Cuba , Claude Robert Ellner , in 2010.

Since 2010 Dietmar Blaas has been the successor to Eberhard Schanze , who in turn became ambassador in Ghana , and ambassador in Mauritania .
