Dietmar Hochmuth (born April 13, 1955 ) is a former German football player who was active in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football, for BSG Stahl Riesa in the 1970s .

Athletic career

Dietmar Hochmuth made his debut in the league at the age of 18 when he played three games as a defender in the 1973/74 season for the Saxon company sports association (BSG) Stahl Riesa as a substitute for Joachim Ringel , who was not ready for action . In the rest of the time he was used in the 2nd team, for which he completed 17 games in the second-rate GDR league . This rose at the end of the season in the district league. Then Hochmuth did not play in the GDR-wide soccer game for three seasons. Only when Stahl Riesa was relegated from the league in 1977, Hochmuth came in 1977/78 to another nine GDR league games, with which he was marginally involved in the immediate resurgence. In the season 1978/79 he disappeared again from the higher class football. For the season 1979/80 he was nominated for the junior league team of Riesaer, but played mostly in the league team, for which he played the remaining 16 point games as a defender from the 11th match day on. That earned him an official nomination for the league for 1980/81, but he was only called up in the first half of the season in seven league games as a representative of the injured defender Peter Juretzko . Then Stahl Riesa got down again, and arrogance disappeared again from the GDR-wide gaming operations. In the seasons 1982/83 and 1983/84 he played for the GDR league club TSG Gröditz . He reached a regular place there and was only missing in the first season in a league game. After the 1983/84 season, the GDR league was reduced from five to two seasons, and TSG could not qualify for the new GDR league season. After that, Dietmar Hochmuth did not return to higher-class football, where he had played 26 major league and 69 GDR league within six seasons. He had not scored goals during this time.
