Dietmar Jung

Dietmar Jung (born January 31, 1957 in Mügeln ; † December 27, 2005 in Hoyerswerda ) was a German politician ( PDS ). From 2004 until his death he was a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Life

Jung completed the polytechnic high school in the GDR and then from 1973 to 1975 an apprenticeship as a locksmith. He then did military service with the NVA until 1978 and worked as a locksmith in Cottbus until 1982 . He then attended the Cottbus district party school from 1982 to 1983 and was FDJ secretary until 1986 . After that he was secretary of the SED until 1989 , also in Cottbus. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he was unemployed in 1992, during which time he completed a series of job creation measures (ABM). From 1992 until 1999 he worked for Sieghard Kosel, member of the state parliament . From 2000 to 2004 he went through various ABMs again until he found a job in Hoyerswerda .

politics

Jung had been a member of the SED since 1975 and, after reunification, also of the PDS, for which he was district chairman in Hoyerswerda from 1992 to 1994. From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of the district council of Hoyerswerda and from 1994 he sat on the city council.

As of October 2004, Jung was a member of the Saxon State Parliament through the successful application for the direct mandate in the constituency of Hoyerswerda . He was a member of the state parliament until his death on December 27, 2005, when Kerstin Lauterbach entered the state parliament as his successor .
