Kerstin Lauterbach (born May 11, 1959 in Halle (Saale) ) from Großenhain is a German politician ( Die Linke ). She was a member of the State Parliament of Saxony between 2006 and 2019 .

Life

Kerstin Lauterbach completed her Abitur in Marienberg in 1977 , which was followed by studies at the Bergakademie Freiberg from 1977 to 1978 . She worked as a library specialist from 1983 to 1985. From 1987 to 1990 she completed a long-distance law degree at the University of Law and Administration. In 1995 she worked as an administrative clerk in the field of general internal administration of the state and local government.

She is non-denominational and has a daughter.

Kerstin Lauterbach has been a member of the Linkspartei.PDS (later Die Linke) since 2003 and is a member of the Grossenhain local council. Within her party, she has been a member of the Riesa-Großenhain district executive since 2005 and of the state executive since 2005. At the municipal level, she has been a city ​​councilor in Großenhain since 2004 .

She moved into the Saxon state parliament on January 19, 2006 as the successor to Dietmar Jung, who died in 2005 . There she was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health, Family, Women and Youth and a member of the Petitions Committee in the 4th electoral term (from her entry until 2009) . In the 5th electoral term (from 2009) Lauterbach was a member of the Committee for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection and again a member of the Petitions Committee. She was the health policy spokeswoman and auditor for her group.

In the state election in 2019 , they did not stand more of a mandate.
