Dietmar von Dippel

Dietmar Edler and Ritter von Dippel (born February 23, 1943 in Berlin ; † March 27, 2009 there ) was a German lawyer and notary.

Career

After graduating from high school in Hanover, Dippel studied economics and law at the Free University of Berlin . In 1964 he became a member of the Corps Rheno-Guestphalia Berlin . Until his death, he was the general manager of the company and employers' association for wholesale and services (AGD) in Berlin and manager of the regional association of the wholesale and foreign trade of Berlin and Brandenburg (LGA). He was also a deputy member of the board of the Berlin State Insurance Company .

After the political change in the GDR , he organized more than 400 private wholesalers on a voluntary basis in the Association of Private Wholesalers in February 1990 and, after the Volkskammer election in March 1990, promoted the formation of regional wholesale associations. After reunification, they formed the basis for the integration of the East German wholesale industry into the Federal Association of German Wholesale and Foreign Trade (BGA).

On March 6, 2009, Dippel was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany for his services to the development of democratic wholesale structures in the GDR and immediately after reunification based on the principles of the social market economy .

In addition to his association activities, he was a founding sponsor and honorary member of the Lions Club Berlin Gendarmenmarkt.
